Interview Question and Answer for A+ Hardware

Question number 1

What is Hardware?
The all physical parts and components of the computer system is known as hardware.

Example- all units of computer such as keyboard, Mouse display device, printer, scanner and excetra.

Question number 2
What is Software.?
The Non-tangible parts and components of the computer system is known as software including all system softwares application software and utility softwares.

There are three main categories of softwares

1. System software or operating system.

2. Application software such as MS Office,

3. Utility software including Calculator, Calendar, Clock, and other Management Utilities.

Question number 3
What is input device?
Input devices are use to give the instruction of the computer or CPU for any task or request. Is known as input device.
Example - Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Joystick and other pointing devices.

Question number 4
What is Output Device?
Output devices are use to show the result after given input which is generate by the CPU is known as Output Device.
Example- Display Devices (CRT-Monitor, TFT, LCD, LED), Printer, Sounds.

Question number 5
What is Personal Computer (PC)?
A personal computer is a computing device. That is made up of many distinct electronic components. And that all functions together in order to accomplish some useful task.

Question number 6
How many most common components of the computer system?

There are many components are responsible to build a computer system these components are.
1- PC-Case
2- Power Supply (SMPS)
3- Motherboard (System Board)
4- Processor (CPU)
5- Memory (RAM)
6- Storage Devices (HDD, CD, DVD, USB & Others)
7- Display Device (CRT-Monitor, TFT, LCD, LED)
8- Adapter Cards
9- Ports & Cables

These are the main components which is build  a computer.

Question number 7
What is PC-Case?
Pc-case or Cabinet a thin sheet metal enclose that the houses the Powersupply , Motherboard, and storage devices.
Or
It is a empty box design by the Steel , Aluminium, or Plastic to fit the all components of the computer system in order.

According to Comptia there are seven styles of PC-Case

1- Full Tower Case
2- Mid Tower Case
3- Mini Tower Case
4- Midi Tower Case
5- Desktop Case
6- Slimline Case
7- Proprietary Case

Question number 8
What is Power Supply?
A power supply convert 110, 220 or 240 Volt AC into DC Voltages, That's a computer needs to operate.
These Voltages are
+5VDC, -5VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC, +3.3VDC, +5VDC Stand by power.

Question number 9
How many power connector use by power supply?
There are 4 types of power connectors use by the power supply.

1- Floppy Drive Power Connector (Berg)
2- AT System Connector
3- ATX Power Connector
4- Standard Peripheral Power Connector (Molex)

Question number 10
What is Floppy Drive Power Connector?
There are four pin power connector or four wire going to this connector +5VDC Carried on the Red Wire and +12VDC Carried on the Yellow Wire and two black ground wires.
It is also know as Berg Connector.

Question number 11
What is ATX power connector?
ATX stands for (Advanced Technology Extended) it is type of motherboard power connector it is provide the power of ATX newly and latest type of motherboard.
It has 20 pins and carry.
+5VDC, -5VDC, +12VDC, -12VDC, +3.3VDC, & +5VDV Stand by Power.

Question number 12
What is AT power connector?
AT stand for (Advanced Technology) it was oldest motherboard Technology. Now a days it is not in use so basically it had 2 Six pin separate power connector. And it was carry 4 voltages these voltages are.
+5VDC, -5VDC, +12VDC, -12VD

QUESTION NUMBER 13
What is standard peripheral power connector?
There are four pin connector basically used to provide the power of internal disk storage devices such as hard disk drive, compact disc and DVD.
It has 4 pin and carry same two voltages as floppy drive power connector they both are same according to power but according to size or shape they are not same sometime standard peripheral power connector larger and flatter than floppy drive power conductor.

Question number 14
What is Motherboard?
Respire of the computer system is the motherboard. it is made up of green and brown fiberglass and it is placed in bottom or side of the case it is very important component of the computer system because it connect all the components to each other sometime it is also known as planner Board of system board.

Question number 15
How many types of motherboard
According to main classification there are two types of motherboard
1. Integrated motherboard
2. Non integrated motherboard

Question number 16
What is integrated motherboard?
In this type of motherboard the all components basically audio video and network devices such as audio port video port and network port is already  attach with the motherboard as a form of integrated circuit.

Question number 17
What is non integrated motherboard?

In the non integrated motherboard all these components means audio video and network devices is not integrated with the motherboard circuit non integrated motherboard required audio video and network devices to be added to the system with the expansion slot.

Question Number 18
What is ATX Motherboard?
ATX stand for Advanced Technology Extended it is very simple to identify because it has 20 pin single power connector found on the motherboard circuit to receive the power of the motherboard and also previously I have discussed ATX Motherboard always provide six voltages.

Question Number 19
What is difference between AT&ATX Motherboard?

AT it is oldest technology and it was 2 Six pin power connector.
ATX
It's newest technology it has 20 pin single power connector. And provide six voltages.
